eat that cookie for yourself, and no one else

Everyday, minute, and even second, we make decisions. We make a decision to watch that next tv show on Netflix, eat that extra cookie, say a blessing before you eat, and even down to blinking. We are steadily and unconsciously making small decisions. But what do we do when it comes time to make a big decision? Most of us might would call some close friends, our parents, or even some siblings. By the time we have made all those calls, we have so many scenarios of what to do in our head, that we made the decision ten times harder without even thinking about it. Why don’t we just sit back and think to ourselves, “What do I really want?” or “What would bring me happiness?”

You hear all the time about selfishness, and putting others before yourself. I think that we do that so often now that we stop thinking about what would make us happy, and we just think about what would make someone else happy. Why though? Why have we stopped seeking happiness for ourselves and started seeking it from everyone else?

I trace it all the way back to how we truly and wholeheartedly see ourselves.

If you aren’t content with yourself, you won’t trust yourself to make a big decision. If you don’t see yourself as smart enough, pretty enough, or even old enough, you will not be happy. And I take that back to being selfish. If you are all the time thinking to yourself, “Oh my goodness, what if people think I’m stupid for this.” or “What if I hurt someone else feelings by doing this?” then you won’t be able to find worth in yourself. I think that it is so crazy nowadays how we all look for approval from someone else. If we always put someone elses thoughts in front of our own, then we lose ourselves.

NEVER lose yourself in someone elses thoughts of you.

Remind yourself that you are smart enough, pretty/handsome enough, and old enough to do anything you set your mind to. Try to do things on your own every now and then, and remember that you have worth.

Yes I know, in a world like we live in today, it is so hard to be okay with who you truly are and who God made you to be, but I promise you, and God promises you, that YOU are perfect in every single way.

“Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.” – 1Timothy 4:12

“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.” -Luke 12:6-7

God bless all you beautiful people!!<3
